About the Artist
I was born and raised in Oregon. After graduating from the University of Oregon, where I majored in Education and minored in Art, I married and lived in California and Ohio.
While living in Ohio, I took a watercolor class and was hooked. I have since started painting in oil as well. I love to paint anything that inspires me...places, people, vistas. I plein air paint, as well as painting in a studio. We moved back to Oregon in 2005 and I have become involved with friends who paint en plein air in the summer. I am a member of the Watercolor Society of Oregon and Oregon Society of Artists. I recently have begun doing "dog portraits"....I love doing them. I was juried into a national exhibit, The American Impressionistists Society, with a oil painting. Quang Ho, Master Artist, was the juror. I received an Honorable Mention for a watercolor painting of lavender at the Lavender Festival of Oregon. I have been in various exhibits, solo and group exhibits. I have a passion for painting which has led me on a path of wonderful friends and acquaintances. It has been a blessing in my life.
